A distressed, ink-heavy serif with sharply chiseled terminals and irregular, torn-looking contours. Strokes show pronounced thick–thin modulation and a press/brush-like buildup in heavier areas, while curves break slightly at the edges as if from rough printing or dry ink. Serifs are wedge-like and inconsistent in length, giving capitals a carved, poster-like presence and lowercase a more scribal, uneven rhythm. Counters are generally open but not perfectly smooth, and character widths vary noticeably, producing a lively, slightly unstable texture across words and lines.

Best suited to display applications where texture is an asset—posters, headlines, book or album covers, packaging, and brand marks that want a vintage or handcrafted feel. It can also work for short editorial pull quotes or chapter titles, but the distressed detail is most effective at moderate-to-large sizes where the rough contours remain legible.

The overall tone feels antique and hand-wrought, with a gritty edge that suggests worn letterpress, aged signage, or old-world print ephemera. Its dramatic contrast and rough finish add urgency and character, leaning toward historical, mysterious, and rustic atmospheres rather than clean modernity.

The design appears intended to simulate expressive, high-contrast lettering with the imperfections of aged ink and worn printing, delivering a historically flavored serif that feels tactile and human-made rather than mechanically precise.

At text sizes the broken edges and variable stroke buildup create a strong grain that becomes part of the reading texture; spacing and rhythm feel intentionally irregular, enhancing the handmade impression. Numerals and capitals read especially bold and emblematic, while the lowercase retains a more informal, inked-note quality.
