This serif face shows gently flared stems that broaden into tapered, bracketed stroke endings rather than hard, rectangular serifs. Curves are round and open, with moderate contrast between thick and thin strokes and a slightly calligraphic modulation, especially visible in the bowls and joins. Capitals are proportionally broad and steady with crisp terminals, while the lowercase maintains a traditional rhythm with a normal x-height, clear ascenders/descenders, and softly sculpted entry/exit strokes. Numerals follow the same oldstyle-leaning logic with smooth curves and tapered terminals, keeping the overall texture even and readable in text.

It is well suited to long-form reading such as books, essays, and editorial layouts where a steady rhythm and comfortable texture are priorities. The refined, traditional shapes also make it a good choice for heritage-leaning branding, cultural institutions, and formal printed materials like programs and invitations.

The tone is classical and literary, evoking printed-book tradition and editorial seriousness without feeling overly ornate. Its flared endings and subtle modulation add warmth and humanist character, giving paragraphs a composed, cultivated voice suitable for longer reading.

The design appears intended to blend classic serif readability with a more sculpted, flared-terminal personality, offering a traditional voice with a subtly contemporary smoothness. It aims for dependable text performance while adding gentle calligraphic warmth and distinction in headings and pull quotes.

Spacing and overall color appear balanced, producing a calm text gray in the sample paragraph. The flared terminals help maintain definition at text sizes while keeping the outlines softer than a sharp transitional serif.
