A robust italic serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and a forward-leaning, calligraphic build. Strokes taper into sharply bracketed serifs and occasional ball terminals, giving joins and terminals a lively, ink-like finish. The letterforms are fairly broad with generous internal counters, while capitals read as sturdy and sculpted, pairing well with round, open lowercase shapes. Numerals and punctuation adopt the same sweeping, tapered rhythm, maintaining strong contrast and a consistent slanted texture across text.

Well suited to headlines and subheads where a strong italic voice is desirable, as well as magazine layouts and book covers that benefit from a classic, high-contrast serif. It can also work for short editorial passages or pull quotes, where its energetic slant and pronounced modulation create a distinctive typographic color.

The overall tone is assertive and cultivated, with a distinctly editorial flair. Its energetic italics and high-contrast detailing suggest tradition and refinement, while the heavy presence and wide stance add a confident, attention-getting voice.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional serif reading of “display italic” energy—combining classical proportions with bold presence and expressive, calligraphy-informed terminals for impactful editorial typography.

The italic stress is consistent and prominent, producing a rhythmic, diagonal flow in paragraph settings. Curved letters show smooth, controlled modulation, and the heavier weight emphasizes silhouette and terminal detail more than delicate hairlines.
