A high-contrast italic serif with a pronounced rightward slant and a distinctly calligraphic construction. Strokes show strong thick–thin modulation with tapered terminals and bracketed serifs that feel cut by a broad, angled nib rather than mechanically uniform. Capitals are slightly narrow and lively, with swashed entry/exit strokes on several forms, while the lowercase keeps a steady, readable rhythm and moderate proportions. Numerals are italic and similarly modeled, with curved, flowing shapes that sit comfortably alongside text.

Well suited to editorial typography, book and magazine applications, and formal communications where an expressive italic voice is desired. It can serve as a primary display italic for headlines, pull quotes, and titling, and also works for short-form text where its contrast and slant remain comfortable at reading sizes.

The overall tone is classical and cultivated, with a polished, editorial elegance. Its energetic italic motion and sharp contrast lend it a sense of drama and sophistication without becoming overly ornamental.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional, bookish italic with pronounced calligraphic flair—balancing conventional serif structures with expressive stroke endings and a fluid, forward-leaning rhythm for emphasis and refinement.

The design exhibits diagonal stress and crisp joins that emphasize forward motion, especially in letters with long diagonals and curved bowls. The texture in paragraphs reads airy and bright due to the contrast and generous internal counters, making it feel more like a text italic meant to be seen than a subdued companion style.
