A high-contrast italic serif with a calligraphic, old-style rhythm. Strokes show strong thick–thin modulation with smoothly bracketed serifs and tapered entry/exit terminals that keep forms crisp without feeling sharp. Curves carry a diagonal stress and the italic angle is consistent, producing a fluid baseline movement and lively inter-letter spacing. Uppercase forms are slightly compact and sweeping, while lowercase shapes lean into rounded counters, open apertures, and gently extended ascenders/descenders for a graceful texture in text.

Well suited to editorial typography where an italic voice is needed for emphasis, quotes, or expressive passages, and it can carry short runs of continuous text at comfortable sizes. It also works effectively for refined display settings such as book jackets, magazine features, cultural event materials, and formal invitations where a traditional, calligraphic serif feel is desired.

The overall tone is classic and literary, with an elegant, warm sophistication. It reads as traditional and cultivated rather than flashy, lending a sense of craft and editorial polish.

The design appears intended to translate broad-nib calligraphic motion into a structured serif italic, balancing expressive stroke endings with disciplined proportions. It aims to provide a refined, readable italic with enough personality for headings while remaining composed in longer passages.

Figures follow the same italic, high-contrast logic as the letters, with curving forms and tapered terminals that keep numerals visually aligned with text. The capitals show confident swash-like strokes in places, giving headings a decorative lift while maintaining a cohesive text color.
