A robust text serif with compact proportions and sturdy, bracketed serifs that often resolve into slightly wedge-like terminals. Strokes are solid and even-feeling, with rounded joins and a generally low-to-moderate modulation that keeps counters open but not airy. The lowercase shows a two-storey a and g, prominent ball terminals on forms like a/c/f, and a deep, looped descender on g; the italic is not shown and the overall stance remains firmly upright. Numerals are weighty and oldstyle-leaning in feel, with a visibly descending 9 and generous curves that match the letterforms’ rounded, book-oriented rhythm.

Well suited to editorial settings such as magazines, newspapers, and long-form reading where a firm serif voice is desired. The strong weight and compact rhythm also make it effective for headlines, chapter titles, and institutional or heritage-leaning branding, as well as packaging that benefits from a classic, authoritative tone.

The font conveys a traditional, dependable tone—confident and slightly formal without becoming ornate. Its heavy text color and classic detailing suggest authority and readability, evoking familiar book and newspaper typography rather than display novelty.

The design appears intended as a conventional, highly legible serif with a darker text color and familiar book typographic cues. Its emphasis on sturdy serifs, rounded terminals, and consistent rhythm suggests a goal of reliable performance in dense text while retaining enough personality for prominent titling.

Caps are strong and wide-set with assertive serifs, while the lowercase maintains a steady, compact texture that builds a dark, even paragraph color in the sample text. Round letters (O/C/G) keep smooth interiors, and the overall spacing appears comfortable for continuous reading at larger text sizes.
