A tall, tightly condensed serif with an emphatically vertical stance and a slightly irregular, hand-cut rhythm. Strokes are generally even with subtle modulation, while the serifs are sharp and often flare or hook into small wedge-like terminals, creating a spiky silhouette at corners and joins. Counters are narrow and upright, apertures tend to be tight, and many glyphs show distinctive inward notches and curled finishing strokes that read as intentionally ornamental rather than purely text-driven. Numerals follow the same compressed proportions with prominent top-and-bottom shaping and stylized hooks.

Best suited to display settings where its condensed height and ornamental serifs can be appreciated—posters, headlines, titles, theatrical or event materials, and branding marks that want a vintage or uncanny edge. It can work for short blurbs or pull quotes at generous sizes, but its dense detailing makes it less ideal for long-form reading.

The overall tone is dramatic and old-world, evoking playbills, curiosities, and gothic-tinged display typography. Its narrow, towering forms feel formal yet slightly eerie, with decorative cuts that add a sense of spectacle and intrigue.

The font appears designed to deliver maximum character in minimal horizontal space, combining condensed proportions with decorative serif construction to create a distinctive, period-inflected display voice. The hooked terminals and carved-looking notches suggest an intent to reference historical signage and show typography while remaining clean and consistent in contemporary layouts.

The design maintains consistent vertical proportions across uppercase and lowercase, but introduces playful variation through asymmetric terminals (notably on letters like J, S, and Q) that give words a lively, animated texture. In continuous text the strong vertical rhythm is striking, though the tight spacing and intricate terminals make it most comfortable at larger sizes.
