This typeface is a display-oriented serif with strongly flared stems and wedge-like, incised terminals that create a sculpted, chiseled look. Strokes transition from narrow joins into broad, swelling verticals, producing pronounced modulation and sharp internal cut-ins. Serifs are integrated as tapered wedges rather than slabs, with crisp corners and occasional beak-like forms on letters such as C, S, and a. Proportions are expansive with generous counters, a sturdy baseline presence, and a compact, tall lowercase structure that keeps the texture dense and impactful in paragraph settings.

Best suited to large sizes where the flared terminals and incised details can read clearly—such as headlines, poster typography, book and album covers, and mastheads. It can also work for short blocks of editorial display text when strong personality and a classic, authoritative voice are desired.

The overall tone is bold and ceremonial, blending classical inscriptional cues with a showy, poster-ready weight. Its sharp wedges and swelling strokes give it a theatrical, headline-first personality that feels authoritative and slightly vintage, with a hint of bookish grandeur.

The design appears intended to deliver maximum impact through dramatic contrast and flared, inscription-like serif construction, echoing engraved or carved letterforms while remaining robust for modern display typography.

Curves tend to be tightened by angular notches and tapered endings, giving many glyphs a faceted rhythm rather than a purely round, oldstyle flow. The numerals are heavy and emphatic, matching the letterforms’ strong contrast and making them suitable for attention-grabbing figures in titles.
