A heavy slab serif with broad, squarish proportions and strongly bracketed slabs that read as solid, rectangular terminals. Strokes show noticeable modulation, with thick verticals and comparatively lighter joins and curves, giving counters a slightly pinched, ink-trap-like feel in places. Curves are generously rounded while corners and serifs keep a firm, chiseled silhouette, creating a consistent, weighty rhythm across caps and lowercase. Lowercase forms are compact and sturdy (single-storey a and g), with short extenders and dense, dark spacing that produces a pronounced typographic “color.”

Best suited to display settings where mass and presence are assets: headlines, pull quotes, signage, labels, and packaging. It can also work for short editorial blocks or subheads when a strong, traditional slab voice is desired, though longer text will appear dark and tightly packed.

The overall tone is confident and workmanlike, with a faint old-style print and poster sensibility. It feels dependable and emphatic—more about impact and authority than delicacy—suggesting heritage, craft, and bold messaging.

The design appears intended to deliver a bold, print-forward slab serif with classic cues—bracketed slabs, rounded curves, and controlled contrast—optimized for high-impact titles and brand statements while retaining clear letterforms.

The face stays highly legible at large sizes due to strong shapes and open inner forms, but its dense weight and slab terminals create substantial texture in paragraphs. The numerals and capitals maintain the same block-forward stance, supporting a consistent, headline-oriented personality.
