A sharply cut serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and crisp, bracketed serifs. Capitals are sturdy and dignified with generous vertical stress, while the lowercase shows compact, rounded bowls and slightly calligraphic joins that create a lively rhythm in text. The stroke endings are clean and tapered, counters are fairly tight, and the overall color reads dark and emphatic, especially in headlines. Numerals are traditional and weighty, matching the strong serif structure and high-contrast drawing.

Well-suited to headlines, deck copy, and title treatment where contrast and serif detail can read clearly at larger sizes. It also fits editorial settings—magazines, book covers, and section openers—where a classic, authoritative voice is desired, and can work for short passages when a dark, print-like texture is acceptable.

The tone is classic and editorial, projecting authority and refinement with a slightly dramatic, print-forward presence. Its strong contrast and sculpted serifs evoke book typography and traditional publishing, feeling formal without becoming ornamental.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, publishable serif voice with strong contrast and a confident, high-impact texture. Its proportions and crisp detailing prioritize traditional readability cues while adding a dramatic, upscale presence for display-led typography.

In running text the heavy stems and narrow apertures produce a dense texture, while the contrast adds sparkle along curves and diagonals. The design favors confident verticals and structured proportions, giving it a stable, traditional cadence across uppercase, lowercase, and figures.
