A high-contrast serif with broad proportions and a confident, stately stance. Strokes transition sharply between thick verticals and finer connecting hairlines, and many terminals show subtle flaring that gives the letterforms a slightly sculpted, calligraphic finish. Serifs are crisp and bracketed rather than blocky, with tapered joins and smooth curves in round letters like O and C. Lowercase forms keep a traditional, readable rhythm with a moderate x-height, open counters, and sturdy stems; numerals match the text color with similarly pronounced thick–thin modulation.

Well suited to headlines, subheads, and large editorial typography where its contrast and flared finishing can read as intentional craft. It also works for book covers, magazine titles, and formal posters that benefit from a classic serif voice and broad, confident letter shapes.

The overall tone is classic and literary, projecting authority and polish without feeling overly ornate. Its contrast and refined detailing lean toward an editorial sensibility—confident, formal, and suited to content that wants to feel established and trustworthy.

The design appears intended to reinterpret a traditional book serif with added flare and pronounced thick–thin modulation, creating a more sculptural presence for contemporary editorial and display use while retaining familiar, readable forms.

At display sizes the sharp hairlines and flared terminals become a defining texture, while in longer settings the wide set and clear interior spaces help maintain clarity. The capitals carry a strong vertical emphasis, and the lowercase shows traditional serif proportions that pair well with conventional punctuation and mixed-case typography.
