A condensed, heavy display serif with deliberately ragged contours and frequent edge breakup that mimics worn printing or ink bleed. Strokes are sturdy with modest contrast, while terminals and serifs appear chipped, blotted, and uneven, creating a mottled silhouette around each letter. Counters remain mostly open but show occasional intrusions and irregular inner edges, contributing to a distressed texture without fully sacrificing legibility. Spacing and widths vary slightly by glyph, giving the line a restless, handmade rhythm in text samples.

Best suited for short, high-impact settings where texture is a feature: posters, headlines, cover art, and title treatments for horror, Halloween, or gritty themed events. It can work for short bursts of display copy, but the distressed detailing is most effective at medium to large sizes where the roughness reads clearly without overwhelming the letterforms.

The overall tone is gritty and theatrical, mixing old-world serif structure with an intentionally degraded surface. It reads as ominous and gritty rather than refined, suggesting age, abrasion, and a touch of horror or punk attitude.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic serif foundation with an intentionally weathered, ink-chipped finish. It aims to evoke printed ephemera and distressed signage, prioritizing atmosphere and texture for display typography.

Uppercase forms are tall and compact, with emphatic verticals and strong serifs that become more pronounced through the distressed treatment. Lowercase maintains a familiar serif skeleton but the roughened edges add visual noise, especially at smaller sizes, where the texture can dominate. Numerals follow the same eroded, ink-worn character and feel consistent with the alphabet.
