A heavy, condensed display serif with a worn, ink-choked texture throughout. Letterforms are built on a slab-like, oldstyle skeleton with strong vertical stress and short, sturdy serifs, while the outlines are irregular and pitted as if printed from a damaged plate. Counters are partially clogged in places, terminals are blunt and uneven, and edges show consistent bite marks and rough breakups that create a lively, noisy silhouette. Spacing reads compact, and the overall rhythm is tight and vertical, with enough per-glyph variation to feel hand-pressed rather than mechanically clean.

Best suited to short display settings such as posters, event titles, packaging fronts, labels, and signage where the rough texture is a feature rather than a distraction. It can also work for branding accents and chapter openers when set large with moderate tracking to keep counters from visually closing.

The font conveys a gritty, antique tone—evoking aged posters, saloon signage, and battered letterpress ephemera. Its distressed texture adds drama and attitude, giving text a weathered, rebellious presence that feels both nostalgic and slightly menacing.

The design appears intended to mimic worn printing and aged signage while retaining a classic condensed serif framework. Its goal is to deliver instant period flavor and tactile texture, adding grit and character to display typography without relying on script-like forms.

The distress pattern is prominent even at larger sizes and can quickly fill in smaller interior spaces, so legibility benefits from generous point sizes and simpler layouts. The strongest visual impact comes from the contrast between the sturdy serif structure and the intentionally degraded edges.
