A high-contrast serif with strong vertical emphasis and very fine hairlines. Stems are dark and relatively straight, while joins and connecting strokes taper quickly into delicate serifs and thin cross-strokes. Serifs are small and sharp with minimal bracketing, giving the outlines a crisp, engraved feel. Proportions are compact through the lowercase with a noticeably short x-height, while ascenders rise tall and some lowercase forms show lively, calligraphic movement. Numerals and capitals maintain the same bright-and-dark rhythm, producing a clean but dramatic texture in setting.

Best suited to display typography such as headlines, subheads, pull quotes, and refined titling where its contrast can be appreciated. It also fits formal print applications like invitations, programs, and cover typography, especially when given generous size and comfortable leading.

The overall tone is poised and formal, with a distinctly literary, fashion-forward elegance. Its strong contrast and sharp detail lend a sense of sophistication and ceremony, while the slightly playful curves in some lowercase forms keep it from feeling purely austere.

Designed to deliver a classic high-fashion and bookish impression through pronounced contrast, vertical stress, and sharp, hairline finishing. The compact lowercase and elegant capitals suggest an emphasis on refined display setting and stylish editorial presence rather than utilitarian small-text work.

In text, the thin horizontals and hairline details create a sparkling page color and emphasize letterspacing and line spacing choices. The italic-like motion in certain lowercase shapes (notably in descenders and terminals) adds character, but the finest strokes will visually recede at smaller sizes or in low-resolution reproduction.
