This is a high-contrast italic serif with a distinctly calligraphic construction. Strokes show pronounced thick–thin modulation and a consistent rightward slant, with tapered, wedge-like terminals and compact, bracketed serifs on capitals. The lowercase is flowing and slightly variable in width, with generous entry/exit strokes and a lively baseline rhythm; the italic forms lean on traditional book-face proportions rather than dramatic swashes. Numerals appear as oldstyle figures with ascenders/descenders and the same sharp contrast and tapering seen in the letters.

Well suited to book and long-form editorial typography where an italic is needed for emphasis, quotations, and voice changes. It also works for refined headlines, pull quotes, and magazine features that benefit from a traditional, high-contrast italic texture.

The overall tone is classic and literary, evoking traditional printing and editorial refinement. Its brisk slant and crisp contrast add a sense of motion and elegance, reading as formal without feeling overly ornate.

The design appears intended as a conventional, text-oriented italic companion with classic proportions and authentic calligraphic modulation. Its goal is to provide readable emphasis and a cultured tone while maintaining the familiar rhythm of traditional serif typography.

Capitals are relatively restrained and upright in structure despite the italic angle, while the lowercase carries most of the movement and texture. The sharp, pointed joins and tapered terminals create a crisp sparkle in text, especially in curved letters and the italic f and j shapes.
