A high-contrast serif with sharp, hairline terminals and thick vertical stems, creating a distinctly chiseled light–dark rhythm. Serifs are fine and largely bracketed, with pointed, calligraphic-looking wedges on several capitals and angled joins that keep the forms lively rather than purely geometric. Curves show a clear vertical stress, and counters are moderately compact, giving the face a confident, slightly condensed feel in text. The lowercase has a traditional structure with a two-storey a and g, firm upright stems, and crisp entry/exit strokes that read cleanly at display sizes.

Best suited for headlines and large text where the hairlines and stroke modulation can remain intact. It works well for magazine titles, book covers, cultural posters, and brand systems that aim for a refined, premium voice. For longer reading, it will perform most convincingly in well-printed contexts and at comfortable sizes where the contrast doesn’t become too delicate.

The overall tone is polished and authoritative, with a fashionable editorial sharpness. Its dramatic contrast and refined serifs convey sophistication and a premium, print-minded sensibility, while the slightly spiky details add a touch of theatricality.

The design appears intended to modernize a classic text-serif foundation with heightened contrast and sharper terminals, producing a distinctly editorial display voice. It balances traditional proportions with fashion-forward crispness to project elegance, authority, and impact.

The numerals and capitals carry strong presence, with noticeable modulation on diagonal letters (V, W, X) and a more decorative, calligraphic flavor in curved forms like S and Q. In paragraph settings the contrast produces a shimmering texture, so spacing and size will influence how smooth or punchy the text color appears.
