This typeface is a serif with subtly flared stroke endings and a gently calligraphic construction. Strokes stay largely even in weight, with soft swelling where stems meet terminals, creating tapered, wedge-like serifs rather than crisp hairlines. The proportions are expansive, with broad capitals and generously spaced, open counters; round letters like O and Q feel wide and smooth, and the Q uses a flowing tail that dips below the baseline. Lowercase forms are similarly open and readable, with a single-storey g and a compact ear, a lightly tapered, curved tail on y, and an f that extends with a small, understated crossbar. Numerals follow the same understated, oldstyle rhythm, showing varying heights and gentle curvature in forms like 2, 3, and 5.

It suits long-form reading and editorial settings where a refined serif texture is desired, including books, essays, and magazine typography. The wide, open forms also lend themselves to display use such as section heads, pull quotes, and elegant branding that benefits from a calm, classical voice.

The overall tone is poised and literary, evoking book typography and classical inscription without feeling overly ornate. Its soft flare and measured rhythm suggest quiet authority and warmth rather than sharp modernity, making it feel cultured and composed.

The typeface appears designed to blend traditional serif familiarity with a softer, flared-terminal finish, prioritizing readability and a cultured texture. Its open counters and controlled detailing suggest an intention to perform smoothly in text while providing enough character for tasteful display settings.

The design maintains consistent shaping across uppercase, lowercase, and figures, with smooth joins and minimal abrupt corners. Curves are round and relaxed, while diagonals (V, W, X, Y) keep a restrained, slightly chiseled feel through tapered terminals that echo the serif treatment.
