A high-contrast serif with strong vertical stems and finely tapered hairlines, producing a crisp light–dark rhythm. Serifs are bracketed and sharp, with occasional wedge-like terminals and subtle ball terminals in the lowercase, giving the text a sculpted, calligraphic finish. Proportions feel traditional with moderate x-height and sturdy capitals; curves are smooth and tense, and joins stay clean even at heavy weight. Numerals are similarly bold and sculpted, with pronounced thick–thin transitions and clear, compact counters.

This font performs best in display and titling situations such as headlines, magazine layouts, book covers, and sophisticated branding where high contrast can be leveraged for impact. It can work for short passages or pull quotes at comfortable sizes, but its dense color and fine hairlines suggest giving it generous size and print-quality rendering for best results.

The overall tone is formal and editorial, blending classic bookish refinement with a slightly theatrical punch from the extreme contrast. It reads as confident and authoritative, suited to contexts where typographic presence and tradition are desirable.

The design appears intended to modernize a conventional text-serif model by amplifying contrast and sharpening details, creating a stately, attention-grabbing face that still feels rooted in traditional typography.

In the sample text, the heavy weight and tight internal spacing make the face feel dense and impactful, especially in long lines. Distinctive details like the single-storey-style lowercase forms and rounded terminals add character without pushing into novelty.
