A compact serif with tapered, wedge-like serifs and subtly flared strokes that give letters a slightly chiseled, calligraphic feel. Stems are fairly sturdy while joins and curves pinch in places, creating a lively rhythm with occasional sharp notches and hooked terminals (notably in letters like J, S, and r). The lowercase forms are straightforward but characterful, with a two-storey a and single-storey g, small, tidy apertures, and a generally tight set that reads as condensed. Numerals follow the same pointed, old-style sensibility, with angled tops and curved feet that keep the texture consistent in text.

Well suited to book covers, editorial headlines, and pull quotes where a traditional serif voice with extra personality is desirable. It can also work in posters and packaging that aim for a vintage or literary mood, especially at medium-to-large sizes where the sharp terminals and pinched details stay clear.

The overall tone is literary and old-fashioned, with a playful edge created by the spiky serifs and slightly eccentric curves. It evokes editorial tradition—book pages, classic posters, and learned print—while the sharper terminals add a faintly whimsical, storybook character.

The design appears intended to reinterpret a traditional serif through tapered, pointy serifs and slightly quirky curvature, producing a familiar reading texture with more character than a conventional text face. It prioritizes personality and atmosphere while retaining enough structure to function in short-form reading and titling.

In continuous text the face builds a dark, even texture, but the abrupt terminals and pinched counters add sparkle and emphasize word shapes. The capitals feel dignified yet a touch theatrical, making them effective for short lines and display settings where the distinctive serif treatment can be appreciated.
