A roughened, serifed roman with visibly eroded contours and uneven inked edges that mimic worn type or distressed printing. Strokes hold generally consistent weight, but the outline texture creates lively, broken silhouettes and occasional darkened blobs at terminals and joins. Proportions are fairly traditional with compact, sturdy capitals and a readable, workmanlike lowercase; counters remain open despite the speckled, scuffed interior texture. Numerals follow the same rugged treatment, with simple forms and slightly irregular curves that reinforce the handmade/printed feel.

Best suited to display applications where texture and mood are primary—such as posters, book and zine covers, title cards, album artwork, and themed packaging. It can work for short pull quotes or headings, while extended body text may feel heavy and visually busy due to the persistent edge wear.

The overall tone is gritty and atmospheric, evoking aged documents, pulp covers, and stamped or over-inked impressions. Its imperfections read as intentional and tactile, lending a sense of urgency, mystery, and analog authenticity.

The design appears intended to reproduce the character of degraded printing—like old letterpress, stamped labels, or battered typewriter output—while keeping a familiar serif structure for immediate legibility. The distressing adds narrative and atmosphere without abandoning classic letterforms.

The texture is consistent across the character set, producing a cohesive “worn plate” look while preserving recognizable letter shapes. In longer text, the distressed edges add density and visual noise, increasing character and mood more than refinement.
