This serif displays pronounced thick–thin modulation with hairline horizontals and robust verticals, creating a crisp, high-contrast texture. Serifs are finely bracketed and taper into sharp, clean terminals, while curves show a slightly calligraphic stress that reads strongly in round letters. Proportions are fairly traditional with moderate ascenders and descenders and a text-oriented x-height, but letter widths vary naturally, giving the setting an energetic, bookish rhythm. Numerals follow the same contrasty construction, with clear forms and decisive weight distribution.

Well suited to magazine typography, book and journal settings, and other editorial layouts where a refined, high-contrast serif is desirable. It also performs effectively for display use—titles, pull quotes, and brand marks—where its sharp hairlines and elegant serifs can be shown at comfortable sizes.

The overall tone is polished and literary, with a distinctly editorial sophistication. Its high contrast and refined details suggest a premium, classical voice suited to cultured and formal messaging rather than casual utility.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic text-serif structure with heightened contrast for a more luxurious, fashion/editorial impression. It balances conventional proportions and familiar letterforms with crisp detailing to create a confident, print-like presence.

In longer passages the font produces a lively light–dark cadence, with strong vertical emphasis and delicate linking strokes. The lowercase shows traditional forms (notably double-storey shapes in letters like a and g), reinforcing a conventional text-serif feel while keeping a sharp, contemporary crispness.
