A bold, chunky serif with pronounced bracketed wedge/slab-like terminals and slightly softened corners. Strokes show consistent, intentionally uneven texture—peppered counters and worn edges that mimic ink spread and rough letterpress printing. Proportions are sturdy with wide capitals, compact bowls, and strong vertical stress; the lowercase is round and weighty with a single-storey a and g. Numerals are heavy and old-style in feel, with the same distressed surface and robust silhouettes.

Best suited for display settings such as posters, headlines, logos, and packaging where a rugged, printed character is desirable. It can also work for short editorial pull quotes or event signage, especially when you want a traditional serif voice with a gritty, tactile finish.

The overall tone feels vintage and workwear-driven, like signage pulled from an old workshop, saloon, or printed broadside. The distressed texture adds grit and authenticity, shifting the mood from polished to tactile and lived-in.

The design appears intended to evoke a traditional bold serif used in historic print and signage, then aged through controlled distress to suggest rough paper, worn metal type, or ink-heavy impressions. It balances strong, readable silhouettes with surface noise to deliver a confidently vintage, utilitarian presence.

Texture appears embedded within the letterforms rather than as a separate overlay, so the distress reads clearly at display sizes and becomes more mottled as sizes get smaller. Spacing and rhythm are solid and even, while the varied edge wear keeps the color from looking flat across a line of text.
