A distressed serif face with a typewriter-like skeleton and intentionally roughened contours. Strokes are sturdy with modest contrast, and terminals are blunt with small slab-like serifs that read as worn or ink-filled. Edges show irregular erosion and speckly bite marks, creating an uneven inked silhouette across straight stems and rounded bowls. Proportions feel on the wide side with generous, open counters, and the lowercase shows a familiar typewriter rhythm with a two-storey “a,” compact “e,” and short, sturdy ascenders and descenders. Figures are bold and simple, with the same degraded perimeter treatment for a consistent printed, weathered texture.

Well suited to display and short-to-medium text where a vintage, printed-with-imperfect-ink effect is desired—such as posters, book and zine covers, album artwork, themed packaging, and editorial callouts. It can also work for headings in mystery, crime, or retro-technical aesthetics when you want legibility with a visibly distressed surface.

The overall tone is gritty and nostalgic, evoking mechanical printing, carbon copies, and aged paper. Its rough texture adds urgency and attitude, lending a slightly ominous or underground flavor while still remaining readable.

The design appears intended to capture the structure of a classic typewriter serif while adding a deliberate worn-print texture. It prioritizes recognizable letterforms and steady rhythm, using distressed edges to convey age, tactility, and analog character without sacrificing overall readability.

The distress pattern appears integrated into each glyph rather than applied uniformly, so the texture varies subtly from character to character. At smaller sizes the rough edges can visually thicken and close details, while at larger sizes the worn perimeter becomes a prominent stylistic feature.
