A high-contrast italic serif with sharply tapered terminals and bracketed serifs that echo broad-nib calligraphy. Strokes modulate strongly from hairline to bold, with pointed joins and subtly flared entry/exit strokes that keep the texture lively. Capitals are narrow and elegant with a pronounced rightward slant, while the lowercase shows compact, slightly varied proportions and distinctive italic forms (notably in a single-storey a and g). Numerals follow the same flowing stress and contrast, with crisp curves and small finishing flicks that read as traditionally bookish.

Well suited to editorial typography, book and magazine work, and other long-form contexts where an italic with traditional serif character is desired. It can also serve effectively for refined branding, invitations, and pull quotes or headings where a classic, formal tone and strong stroke contrast are beneficial.

The overall tone is classic and cultured, projecting refinement and tradition rather than neutrality. Its energetic slant and crisp hairlines add a sense of sophistication and ceremony, making it feel at home in literary and high-end editorial settings.

Designed to deliver a traditional italic serif voice with clear calligraphic roots and pronounced contrast, balancing elegance with readable structure. The intent appears to be a conventional text companion italic that can also stand on its own for elevated display moments.

Letterforms show a consistent diagonal stress and a relatively tight, rhythmic spacing feel in the samples, producing a dark-but-lively line of text. The italic construction is expressive without becoming decorative, keeping it suitable for continuous reading at appropriate sizes while still offering a distinctive voice.
