A lively italic serif with strong calligraphic modulation and a pronounced diagonal axis. Strokes show sharp thick–thin transitions, with tapered terminals and bracketed, wedge-like serifs that feel cut by a broad nib. Counters are compact and slightly irregular in a deliberate, hand-influenced way, giving the texture a bouncy, textured rhythm. Uppercase forms are sturdy and slightly condensed in feel, while the lowercase leans forward with energetic joins and curled entry/exit strokes; figures follow the same animated, slanted construction.

Best suited to short-to-medium settings where its contrast and calligraphic details can be appreciated—headlines, pull quotes, magazines, book covers, and packaging. It can also work for branding and identity work that benefits from a traditional, artisanal voice, while very small sizes or dense UI text may lose some of its finer stroke transitions.

The overall tone is classic and expressive rather than neutral, evoking traditional printing and editorial typography with a warm, human presence. Its energetic slant and emphatic contrast add a sense of motion and personality, suitable for voice-driven or narrative settings.

The design appears intended to blend old-style warmth with an assertive italic stance, delivering a readable serif with expressive, hand-cut detailing. It aims to provide a distinctive, classical texture for display and editorial use while retaining familiar, traditional letter structures.

The spacing and color create a dark, emphatic line in text, with noticeable character-to-character liveliness that reads as intentional rather than mechanical. Curved letters show pronounced swelling and thinning, and several forms feature small flicks and hooks that enhance the handwritten impression without becoming script-like.
