A sculpted serif with pronounced stroke contrast and confident, weighty color. Stems broaden into subtly flared, bracketed terminals, while serifs read as sharp, wedge-like forms rather than slabs. Curves are full and rounded with tight, teardrop-like counters in letters such as a, e, and g, and the overall rhythm is compact and sturdy. Capitals are broad and stately, with a strong baseline presence; numerals share the same high-contrast, carved feel with bold bowls and crisp joins.

Best suited to display and large text where its high contrast and flared terminals can be appreciated—headlines, magazine features, book covers, and premium brand identities. It can also work for short editorial passages or pull quotes when a strong, classical tone is desired.

The typeface conveys a traditional, editorial seriousness with a slightly dramatic, engraved-like flair. Its dark mass and pointed terminals add a sense of authority and formality, suitable for strong statements and refined branding.

Designed to deliver a classic serif voice with added sculptural energy through flared, wedge-like serifs and compact, high-contrast forms. The goal appears to be commanding readability in display settings while retaining an editorial, traditionally rooted personality.

The lowercase shows lively, calligraphic inflections—especially in the ear and terminals of g, the descending j, and the tapered joins in r and y—giving the face character beyond a purely bookish serif. In larger sizes the sharp wedges and bracketed transitions become a defining feature; at smaller sizes the dense color may feel assertive.
