A heavy display serif with pronounced thick–thin contrast and sculpted, flaring terminals that read as tapered wedges rather than flat slabs. Serifs are bracketed and often sharpen into triangular points, giving the outlines a chiseled, inked look. Curves are generous and round, while joins and crotches show crisp internal angles; several letters exhibit slight pinches that create a lively, carved rhythm. Lowercase forms are sturdy with compact counters, a single-story “g,” and teardrop/ball-like terminals on letters such as “a,” “c,” “f,” and “j,” reinforcing the calligraphic flavor.

Best suited to headlines, titling, and short-to-medium passages set large, where the contrast and flared detailing can read clearly. It works well for editorial display, book cover typography, mastheads, and premium packaging where a classic but commanding serif voice is desired.

The overall tone is bold and ceremonial, combining old-style warmth with a more theatrical, poster-ready presence. It feels traditional and literary, but with enough sharpness and contrast to suggest drama and prestige in display settings.

The design appears intended as a high-impact display serif that merges traditional, old-style proportions with sharpened, flaring terminals to heighten drama and presence. Its consistent wedge-and-bracket detailing suggests a focus on strong brandable letterforms and striking typographic color in large settings.

The numerals are robust and strongly stylized, matching the wedge-and-flare language of the letters; the “8” is notably compact with tight internal counters. Round letters like O/C/Q emphasize thick side stems and thin top/bottom strokes, and the Q has a distinctive sweeping tail that adds flourish. In text settings at large sizes, the dense weight and tight apertures produce a dark, emphatic color.
