A strongly modeled serif with pronounced thick–thin transitions and broad, open letterforms. Serifs read as flared and wedge-like with a lightly bracketed feel, giving terminals a carved, chiseled character rather than a flat slab. Curves are full and rounded with crisp joins, while diagonals and cross-strokes stay sharp and high-contrast. The lowercase shows compact, sturdy shapes with ball-like terminals on letters such as a and y, and a single-story g that keeps the texture bold but lively. Numerals follow the same sculpted, high-contrast logic, with generous counters and emphatic terminals that hold up at large sizes.

This design is best suited to headlines, deck copy, posters, and editorial display where its contrast and sculpted terminals can be appreciated. It can work for short passages such as pull quotes, titles, and packaging copy that needs a classic, authoritative voice; for long-running body text it will be most comfortable at larger sizes with ample leading.

The overall tone is classic and authoritative, with a theatrical, headline-ready drama created by the sharp contrast and broad stance. It evokes traditional print typography—confident and a bit ceremonial—while the flared terminals add a slightly vintage, engraved flavor. In extended text the rhythm feels weighty and emphatic, leaning more toward statement than neutrality.

The font appears intended to deliver a conventional serif reading experience with added impact: a broad, high-contrast construction paired with flared, wedge-like serifs that create a distinctive, engraved impression. Its forms prioritize presence and character while staying within familiar serif structures for readability in display settings.

Spacing and proportions create a wide, steady rhythm, and the rounded counters (notably in O, Q, and 8) keep the black shape from feeling brittle despite the contrast. Several letters feature distinctive wedge cuts and swelling terminals that give the face a recognizable, crafted signature.
