A high-contrast serif with strong vertical stems and extremely fine hairlines. Serifs are sharp and largely unbracketed, giving the design a crisp, carved look, while bowls and curves show clear vertical stress. Proportions skew generous in width with prominent, weighty capitals and a steady, upright rhythm; counters remain open despite the heavy thick strokes. The lowercase keeps a traditional structure with compact joins, pronounced ball/teardrop terminals on select forms, and firm, sculpted curves that read cleanly at display sizes.

Best suited to headlines, magazine typography, and high-impact editorial layouts where contrast and detail can be appreciated. It also works well for luxury branding, invitations, and poster titling, particularly when set with generous spacing and clean reproduction.

The overall tone is formal and theatrical, balancing classic bookish authority with a fashion-editorial sheen. Its stark thick–thin transitions and razor serifs create a sense of ceremony and refinement, with a slightly decadent, poster-like punch in headlines.

The design appears intended to deliver a modern Didone-like display voice: sharp, authoritative, and visually opulent. It prioritizes dramatic contrast and refined serif detailing to create immediate hierarchy and a premium, print-forward feel.

Numerals are bold and emphatic with the same vertical-stress logic, and several glyphs feature conspicuous hairline entry strokes and pointed finishing cuts that heighten contrast. Spacing appears tuned for display, with dense black shapes that benefit from ample leading in text settings.
