A high-contrast serif with a pronounced rightward slant and distinctly calligraphic modulation. Strokes swell into heavy, rounded bowls and taper to fine hairlines, with bracketed serifs that often sharpen into wedge-like terminals. The forms feel expansive and muscular, with generous curves, asymmetrical stress, and lively entry/exit strokes that create a rhythmic, slightly swashy texture. Numerals and capitals maintain the same bold–hairline interplay, giving the overall design a strong, dark color on the page.

Best suited to display settings such as headlines, magazine styling, posters, and identity work where its contrast and italic motion can be appreciated. It can also serve as an attention-grabbing accent within longer typography—such as pull quotes, chapter openers, or short passages—where a bold, classic voice is desired.

The font conveys a theatrical, editorial tone—confident and ornate without becoming decorative script. Its brisk italic energy and sharp hairlines add sophistication and urgency, suggesting classic print traditions and high-impact headlines.

The design appears intended to blend traditional serif credibility with heightened contrast and an energetic italic stance, producing a distinctive, premium feel for prominent typography. Its exaggerated thick–thin structure and lively terminals aim to deliver impact and elegance in equal measure.

In text, the strong contrast and slanted posture create a pronounced diagonal flow, producing a distinctly expressive texture compared to quieter book italics. The heaviest joins and rounded counters give it a substantial presence, while the thin connecting strokes add crispness that stands out at larger sizes.
