This is a high-contrast italic serif with a pronounced diagonal stress and crisp, tapered terminals. Serifs are sharp and finely bracketed, and many joins resolve into wedge-like entry and exit strokes that give the letterforms a fluid, pen-informed rhythm without becoming script-like. Curves are smooth and controlled, counters are relatively open, and the overall color stays light and airy thanks to thin hairlines against stronger verticals. Capitals are slightly narrow and slanted with graceful proportions, while lowercase forms show lively italics features such as single-storey a and g, a descending f, and long, elegant extenders.

Well suited for editorial typography such as book interiors, essays, and magazine features where an elegant italic voice is needed. It also performs well for refined headlines, pull quotes, and formal stationery applications that benefit from high-contrast detail and a classic serif texture.

The overall tone is cultivated and traditional, with a distinctly bookish elegance. It feels suited to classic publishing aesthetics—poised, articulate, and slightly dramatic—conveying authority without heaviness. The italic energy adds motion and sophistication, making it feel expressive yet restrained.

The design appears intended as a conventional text serif italic with elevated contrast and careful finishing, offering a polished, literary voice for continuous reading and refined emphasis. Its controlled calligraphic cues suggest an aim to balance traditional book typography with a slightly more expressive, display-ready italic character.

Numerals follow the same calligraphic contrast and slant, with delicate curves and pointed terminals that keep them visually consistent with the text. Spacing appears even and readable in running sample text, and the strong stroke modulation produces clear word shapes at display and editorial sizes.
