A compact, high-impact serif with pronounced wedge-like, flared terminals and strongly bracketed serifs. The strokes show noticeable thick–thin modulation, with sturdy verticals and tapered joins that give the forms an incised, chiseled feel. Uppercase letters are broad-shouldered with assertive entry/exit strokes, while the lowercase maintains a solid, readable skeleton with a rounded, weighty rhythm. Numerals follow the same sculpted logic, with clear counters and confident, slightly calligraphic finishing.

Well suited to headlines, magazine styling, and book-cover typography where a traditional serif voice with added bite is desired. It can also serve branding and packaging that aims for a heritage, premium impression, and works effectively in posters or titling where its flared terminals can be appreciated at larger sizes.

The overall tone feels traditional and authoritative, with a carved, bookish confidence that reads as editorial and institutional. Its sharp, flaring serifs and concentrated color add a sense of ceremony and drama, making text feel purposeful rather than casual.

The design appears intended to blend classical serif conventions with an incised, flared finish, producing a compact, attention-grabbing texture. It emphasizes authority and legibility while adding a distinctive, carved character that elevates display typography without becoming decorative-heavy.

The design’s flare and tapering create strong texture at both display sizes and in larger text settings, with distinctive terminals that remain consistent across capitals, lowercase, and figures. The compact proportions and dense stroke color help it hold its presence in headings, while the controlled modulation keeps the letterforms from feeling overly ornamental.
