A high-contrast italic serif with sharp, tapered hairlines and fuller, rounded thick strokes, creating a distinctly engraved rhythm. Serifs are fine and pointed with subtle bracketing, and joins frequently narrow into needle-like terminals. The italic slant is pronounced, with lively, calligraphic entry and exit strokes and occasional swash-like extensions (notably in forms such as Q and several lowercase letters). Uppercase proportions feel tall and dignified, while the lowercase shows fluid modulation and slightly varying apparent widths driven by the italic construction.

Best suited to display typography such as magazine headlines, pull quotes, title pages, posters, and upscale branding where its contrast and italic flair can be appreciated. It can also work for short-form editorial settings (captions, standfirsts, or product copy) when set generously with comfortable leading and sufficient size.

The overall tone is polished and dramatic, combining luxury-editorial refinement with a slightly theatrical, romantic flourish. Its crisp contrast and energetic italic movement convey sophistication and poise, leaning toward fashion and classical literature rather than utilitarian text.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic high-fashion italic voice: a conventional serif foundation pushed toward elegance through strong contrast, sharp detailing, and expressive italic motion. The swash-like touches and crisp terminals suggest an aim for prestige and dramatic emphasis in display-oriented contexts.

The numerals follow the same high-contrast logic, with delicate curves and sharp stress transitions that read best when given space. In continuous text the pronounced stroke modulation and slender hairlines create a sparkling texture, favoring larger sizes and high-quality reproduction where the fine details won’t fill in.
