A robust serif with strongly bracketed, wedge-like serifs and a compact, muscular build. Strokes show pronounced thick–thin modulation, with heavy verticals and finer connecting strokes that create a crisp, high-contrast rhythm. Counters are relatively tight and apertures tend to be closed, giving the face a dense, emphatic texture in paragraphs. Details lean transitional: beaked terminals on several capitals, rounded/ball-like finishing on some lowercase terminals, and sturdy, slightly squared curves that keep the silhouette grounded.

Best suited to headlines, title pages, posters, and book-cover typography where strong contrast and heavy serif structure can carry the layout. It also works for editorial branding elements—section heads, pull quotes, and mastheads—where a traditional, authoritative tone is desirable.

The overall tone is confident and traditional, with a pronounced, no-nonsense presence. Its dense color and sharp serifing feel institutional and editorial, suited to messages that want to sound established and emphatic rather than delicate or casual.

The design appears intended as a bold, conventional serif for high-impact reading situations—combining classic serif cues with reinforced weight and contrast to deliver strong presence in print-like compositions.

In text, the bold weight and tight internal space can make long passages feel dark, but it produces strong word shapes and clear emphasis at display sizes. Numerals appear sturdy and classic in proportion, matching the letterforms’ weight and contrast.
