A sturdy slab serif with pronounced, bracketed slab terminals and a firmly structured, print-forward build. Strokes show clear but controlled thick–thin modulation, with heavy verticals and slightly lighter connecting strokes, creating a confident rhythm at display sizes. Counters are compact and the overall color is dense, with strong horizontals and wide, square-shouldered serifs that read as solid blocks rather than hairline finishes. The lowercase maintains a classic book-face structure with straightforward forms and minimal idiosyncrasy, while the numerals match the same weight and serif treatment for a consistent typographic texture.

Well suited to headlines, subheads, and pull quotes where a strong, classic slab-serif voice is needed. It can also support branding and packaging that benefits from a sturdy, traditional impression, and editorial layouts that want assertive typography with clear structure.

The tone is confident and traditional, with a no-nonsense, editorial presence that feels rooted in print. Its heavy slabs and compact counters convey strength and reliability, lending a slightly vintage, newspaper-like authority without becoming ornamental.

The design appears intended to deliver high-impact readability with a classic slab-serif backbone—combining robust serifs and controlled contrast to create a dependable, editorial display voice that remains coherent across letters and figures.

At larger sizes the strong slabs and tight interior spaces create a bold typographic “stamp” effect that holds attention. The design’s consistency across caps, lowercase, and figures supports emphatic headings and short text passages where impact and clarity are prioritized.
