A slanted, high-contrast serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and a distinctly calligraphic rhythm. Serifs are bracketed and sharply defined, with wedge-like feet and tapered entry strokes that reinforce the italic flow. The capitals are sturdy and slightly condensed in feel, while the lowercase shows oldstyle proportions with angled stress, compact counters, and lively joins; several forms use soft ball-like terminals and ear-like finials. Numerals and punctuation follow the same energetic stroke logic, producing a cohesive, strongly modeled texture in text.

Well-suited for headlines, magazine decks, pull quotes, and book-cover typography where a traditional serif voice with extra motion is desired. It can also serve branding and packaging that needs an established, upscale tone, particularly when set with generous spacing and comfortable line height.

The font reads as classic and editorial, with a confident, slightly dramatic tone. Its italic energy and crisp contrast suggest tradition and craft—suited to literary or institutional voices while still feeling dynamic and expressive.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional serif foundation with heightened italic expressiveness, combining editorial authority with a crafted, calligraphic edge. Its strong contrast and decisive serifs aim to create impact while preserving familiar letterforms for comfortable reading.

In continuous text, the slant and contrast create a dark, elegant color with pronounced word shapes. The design favors display-to-text crossover behavior: it remains readable, but its sharp modeling and active rhythm become more noticeable as size increases.
