A heavy slab-serif design with compact proportions and a consistent, low-contrast stroke structure. The forms are built from sturdy verticals and blocky terminals, with squared counters and straightforward geometry that reads clearly at text sizes. Edges and corners show intentional wear—ragged contours, chipped-looking corners, and slightly uneven outlines—creating a printed, imperfect texture across both uppercase and lowercase. Spacing and rhythm feel disciplined and typewriter-like, while the distressing introduces lively surface variation.

Well-suited for headlines, posters, and packaging where a worn, printed texture is desirable. It also works for editorial pull quotes, chapter openers, and label-style applications that benefit from a typewriter/letterpress impression. For longer text, it performs best when size and leading allow the distressed edges to remain clear rather than closing up.

The font conveys a gritty, workmanlike tone with a distinctly vintage, analog character. Its worn texture suggests ink spread, aging paper, or rough mechanical printing, lending an archival and slightly rugged mood. Overall it feels practical and documentary, with a hint of noir or industrial atmosphere.

The design appears intended to emulate sturdy slab-serif typewriter or letterpress typography, then age it through deliberate distressing. The goal is to preserve a clear, functional skeleton while adding surface irregularity to evoke physical printing and lived-in materials.

Lowercase shapes stay compact and sturdy, with single-storey constructions and pronounced slabs that reinforce the utilitarian voice. Numerals are equally weighty and textured, maintaining the same distressed perimeter for consistent color in paragraphs. The roughness is strong enough to be noticeable in display but remains controlled so words remain legible in short-to-medium text blocks.
