A high-contrast serif with crisp vertical stems and noticeably thinner hairlines, producing a bright, engraved rhythm on the page. Serifs are bracketed and fairly sharp, with tapered, beak-like terminals appearing in letters such as C, E, F, and S. Curves are smooth and controlled with moderate stress, and counters tend toward compact, giving the face a firm, stately color in text. The lowercase shows a traditional structure with a two-storey a, a compact e, and an f with a tall ascender; numerals include oldstyle-like forms with varied heights and pronounced thick–thin transitions.

This face is well suited to book interiors, long-form editorial layouts, and magazine typography where a traditional serif voice is desired. It also performs convincingly in headlines, subheads, and pull quotes, where its high contrast and sharp detailing can add sophistication without becoming overly decorative.

The overall tone is classical and bookish, with an editorial polish that feels established rather than trendy. Its sharp terminals and strong contrast add a touch of drama and sophistication, suited to serious or cultured messaging.

The design appears intended as a conventional, text-forward serif with elevated contrast and carefully shaped terminals, aiming to balance readability with a refined, literary character. Its consistent modulation and bracketed serifs suggest an emphasis on classical typographic norms with enough sharpness to stand out in editorial use.

At larger sizes, the thin hairlines and sharp terminals become prominent and elegant; in denser settings they will read as refined but may demand adequate size and printing clarity to preserve the delicate strokes. The figure set appears stylistically integrated with the text, emphasizing the same contrast and calligraphic modulation.
