A high-contrast serif with sculpted, flaring stroke endings and distinctly bracketed serifs. Stems show pronounced thick–thin modulation with sharp, clean terminals, while curves are smooth and slightly condensed in feel through the bowls. Capitals are stately and evenly proportioned, with a crisp diagonal rhythm in letters like N, V, W, and X. Lowercase forms keep a traditional structure with a two-storey a and g, compact apertures, and strong vertical stress; numerals follow the same refined contrast and vertical emphasis.

Well-suited to book typography, long-form editorial layouts, and magazine work where a refined, high-contrast serif can carry tone and structure. It also performs strongly for display settings such as headlines, pull quotes, and formal printed materials where its flared terminals and crisp modulation can be appreciated at larger sizes.

The overall tone is authoritative and polished, with a distinctly bookish, editorial presence. Its sharp contrast and flared finishing give it a sense of ceremony and tradition, leaning toward sophisticated and slightly dramatic rather than casual.

The font appears designed to evoke classical serif tradition while adding a sharpened, contemporary crispness through strong contrast and subtly flared, sculptural endings. Its proportions and consistent rhythm suggest an intention to provide an elevated, literary voice appropriate for high-quality typography.

The design reads best when given room to breathe: the hairlines are delicate relative to the main strokes, and the flared endings add a subtle outward momentum at terminals. Counters remain fairly tight in several letters, reinforcing a dense, text-forward color on the page.
