A right-leaning serif with pronounced stroke contrast and a lively, slightly calligraphic modulation. Serifs are bracketed and often wedge-like, with softened joins and occasional teardrop or bulb terminals that give strokes a sculpted, inked feel. Counters are relatively open, while curves and diagonals show a rhythmic thick–thin pattern; capitals feel weighty and compact, and the overall texture reads dense and emphatic in continuous text. Numerals follow the same italic, high-contrast logic with rounded forms and strong entry/exit strokes.

Well suited to headlines and deck copy where contrast and italic motion can carry personality, as well as editorial settings such as magazine features and pull quotes. It can also serve book covers, cultural posters, and brand marks that want a classic serif voice with added energy, while longer passages benefit from moderate sizes and comfortable line spacing.

The tone is traditional and authoritative with a touch of theatrical flair, combining bookish refinement with energetic, slanted momentum. Its contrast and swelling terminals create a confident, expressive voice suited to elevated or ceremonial messaging.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional serif reading experience infused with italic dynamism and calligraphic detailing. It prioritizes expressive rhythm, strong contrast, and a polished, traditional finish for prominent text and refined display typography.

In the sample text, the slant and contrast create strong word-shape and a pronounced typographic “color,” making it most effective when given breathing room. The ampersand and several lowercase forms show more cursive-like motion, reinforcing a display-leaning, expressive character even while remaining within a conventional serif framework.
