A sturdy serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and softly bracketed wedge-like serifs. Curves are generously rounded and the terminals often resolve into small teardrops or ball-like ends, giving the letterforms a slightly calligraphic finish despite their firm vertical stance. Counters are compact and the overall color is dark and even, with clear, confident strokes and a measured rhythm. The numerals appear oldstyle with varying heights and alignments, reinforcing a text-oriented, traditional construction.

Well-suited to editorial typography such as magazine headlines, book titling, and pull quotes where a traditional serif voice is desired. Its dark, confident texture can also work for brand marks and packaging that aim for heritage or craft cues, while remaining readable in short-to-medium text settings.

The tone is classic and bookish, with a slightly antique, print-era warmth. It feels authoritative and editorial rather than sleek, projecting a dependable, institutional character with a touch of charm from its rounded terminals.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, text-serif foundation with extra warmth and individuality through rounded terminals and bracketed serifs. It aims for a familiar print sensibility—authoritative and readable—while avoiding overly sharp or modern detailing.

Uppercase forms read strong and formal, while the lowercase shows softer details—especially in letters like a, e, g, and y—where curved joins and terminal drops add personality. The design maintains consistency across the set, balancing robust stems with refined contrast so it stays composed even at larger display sizes.
