A heavy, right-leaning serif with soft, swollen strokes and irregular, chipped contours that mimic ink spread and worn printing. Terminals form stubby wedges and rounded nubs rather than crisp hairlines, and the counters are somewhat tight, giving the letters a dense, inky silhouette. The outline wobbles subtly from glyph to glyph, with uneven curves and occasional pinched joins that reinforce a hand-cut or aged-stamp texture. Numerals and capitals share the same rugged edge quality and slightly lurching rhythm, producing a lively, imperfect texture in lines of text.

Best suited for display settings where texture and mood are primary—titles, posters, seasonal promotions, haunted-attraction signage, and cover art. It can also work for short emphatic phrases on packaging or labels when you want a distressed, old-world menace, but it’s less ideal for small body text due to its heavy color and rough edges.

The overall tone feels ominous and theatrical, like an old horror poster or a cursed storybook heading. Its roughened, tar-like edges and slanted posture add urgency and unease while still reading as classic letterforms.

This design appears intended to evoke antique, spooky print ephemera by combining familiar serif structures with deliberately distressed contours, inky swelling, and a persistent italic lean. The goal is high-impact atmosphere with a handmade, weathered feel rather than polished typographic refinement.

The italic slant is consistent, but the face is more about texture than precision: edges are intentionally irregular, and stroke endings often look blunted or melted. In longer samples, the dense blacks create a strong headline color that can overpower at small sizes, especially where counters close up.
