A conventional serif with strong thick–thin modulation and a noticeably calligraphic, diagonal stress through rounded forms. Serifs are bracketed and neatly tapered, with sharp, crisp finishing on many terminals. Proportions lean slightly condensed in the capitals, while the lowercase shows a short x-height with tall ascenders and deep descenders, giving lines an elegant vertical rhythm. Numerals are oldstyle-like in feel, with varying heights and lively curves that integrate naturally with text.

Well-suited to long-form reading such as books, essays, and magazine text where a classic serif texture is desirable. It also performs convincingly for literary or institutional titles, pull quotes, and brand typography that aims for tradition and credibility, especially when set with comfortable leading to accommodate the short x-height.

The overall tone is traditional and bookish, with an editorial polish that feels established and authoritative. Its high-contrast rhythm and compact lowercase convey refinement and seriousness rather than casualness, while small flourishes (like the sweeping Q and energetic g) add a quietly expressive character.

The design appears intended as a conventional, print-oriented text serif that balances readability with a refined, high-contrast sparkle. Its compact lowercase and bracketed serifs suggest an emphasis on classic typographic color and an editorial, heritage-leaning voice rather than overt modernism.

Curved letters display prominent thick–thin transitions, and joins stay sharp and clean at display sizes. The lowercase a is two-storey and the g is double-storey with a pronounced ear, reinforcing a classical text serif voice; punctuation and ampersand feel similarly traditional and sturdy in color.
