A serif typeface with lively, calligraphic construction and noticeably textured contours, as if formed by a broad nib or slightly worn printing. Strokes show pronounced thick–thin modulation, with bracketed serifs and wedge-like terminals that flare and taper rather than ending mechanically. Counters are fairly open, while curves and joins have a subtly irregular, hand-pressed feel that creates a rhythmic, organic pattern across words. Capitals are sturdy and sculptural, and the numerals share the same chiseled, inked character, keeping the set visually cohesive.

Well-suited for book covers, editorial headlines, and pull quotes where a classic, crafted voice is desirable. It can also work effectively on packaging, labels, and event materials that benefit from a traditional, artisanal impression. In body text, it is best used at comfortable sizes where the textured forms and contrast remain clear.

The overall tone feels traditional and bookish, with a tactile, handmade warmth. Its slightly rugged edges and strong modulation evoke historical printing and craft, giving text an old-world, storybook flavor rather than a polished corporate neutrality.

The design appears intended to capture an old-style, humanist reading tradition while adding a deliberately tactile, inked surface. Its modulation, tapered terminals, and gently irregular outlines suggest an aim to feel historically rooted and handmade, offering character and atmosphere as much as straightforward neutrality.

In running text, the irregular stroke edges add color and personality, while the stronger terminals and serifs help maintain word shape. The rhythm is more expressive than strictly uniform, making the face feel more at home in display sizes or short passages than in long, dense copy.
