A traditional serif with bracketed, tapered serifs and gently modulated strokes that keep the page color even without looking mechanical. Curves are broad and slightly organic, with subtly cupped joins and a mild diagonal stress that reads as calligraphic rather than geometric. Capitals are stately and open, while the lowercase shows compact proportions and lively terminals; the “g” is single-storey and the “j” descends with a curved tail, reinforcing the humanist texture. Numerals are old-style–leaning in feel, with soft curves and modest punctuation-like details that match the letterforms.

Well suited to book interiors, essays, long-form editorial layouts, and any reading-focused setting where a warmer serif is preferred. It can also support refined branding, packaging copy, and display lines that want a classic, literary atmosphere without heavy ornament.

The overall tone is classic and bookish, with a warm, human presence that feels at home in literary and academic settings. It suggests tradition and credibility, with a slightly antiquarian flavor that remains approachable rather than austere.

The design appears intended to deliver a dependable reading serif with humanist warmth and subtle calligraphic cues, balancing traditional proportions with enough character in terminals and serifs to keep text engaging over long passages.

The rhythm is moderately irregular in a pleasant way, with small variations in stroke endings and interior shapes that add character in text. The font maintains clarity at larger text sizes while retaining enough detail in serifs and terminals to give headlines a cultured, editorial voice.
