A distressed serif with narrow proportions and an upright stance, rendered with visibly roughened contours and uneven stroke edges that suggest worn type or imperfect printing. Strokes show moderate contrast and frequent nicks, blots, and slight swelling at terminals, giving counters and joins a rugged, broken-in texture. Serifs are small-to-moderate and often appear chipped or softened, while overall letterforms remain broadly traditional and readable despite the surface degradation.

Works well for horror or mystery titling, vintage-styled posters, and editorial headlines where a weathered print texture is desired. It can also support themed packaging or in-world UI for games and events, especially for short bursts of text such as headers, pull quotes, and signage rather than long-form reading at small sizes.

The font conveys an aged, eerie, and gritty tone—like old book type that’s been weathered, photocopied, or stamped. Its rough texture adds tension and drama, leaning toward gothic and Halloween-adjacent moods without becoming fully ornamental. The irregularities introduce a handmade, analog feel that reads as historical and slightly unsettling.

The design appears intended to mimic traditional serif typography that has been physically degraded—through age, rough inking, or reproduction—while preserving a familiar skeleton for readability. The goal seems to be adding atmosphere and authenticity through texture rather than through extreme letterform experimentation.

In text settings the distress pattern stays consistent across lines, producing a lively, noisy rhythm that becomes a defining visual layer. The narrow build helps dense copy fit, but the texture and broken edges are most effective when given enough size and spacing to remain legible. Numerals and capitals carry the same worn treatment, supporting cohesive titling and display use.
