A high-contrast serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation, hairline horizontals, and crisp, bracketed wedge serifs. Capitals feel tall and stately with strong vertical stress and generous counters, while lowercase forms show a more calligraphic rhythm—most noticeable in the curved shoulders and the two-storey a. The overall color on the page is bold yet crisp, with narrow joins and fine terminals that create a sparkling texture at display sizes.

Well-suited to magazine and newspaper-style headlines, book cover titling, and upscale branding where a crisp, refined serif is desired. It can also work for pull quotes and short editorial passages, especially when set with ample size and spacing to preserve the delicate hairlines.

The font conveys a polished, classical tone associated with bookish and editorial typography. Its sharp hairlines and decisive serifs suggest sophistication and ceremony, while the lively contrast adds a sense of drama and prestige.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic, authoritative serif voice with dramatic contrast and a tailored, high-end finish. It balances formal capitals with a readable, traditional lowercase to function confidently in editorial display and refined text-forward applications.

Figures appear lining and similarly high-contrast, with the 8 showing an especially strong thick–thin split and the 1 and 7 reading cleanly for headlines. The uppercase W and X have striking diagonal joins, reinforcing the sharp, sculpted character. In longer sample text, the rhythm remains steady, though the fine hairlines and delicate joins imply best results when printed or rendered at comfortable sizes.
