A classic serif with bracketed, wedge-like serifs and gently modulated strokes. Curves are smooth and open, with a slightly calligraphic feel in the transitions where stems meet bowls and arches. Proportions are balanced and text-oriented: capitals are stately and fairly wide, while lowercase forms show readable, open counters and a modest, gently sloped stress in round letters. Details like the two-storey a and g, a compact ear on g, and a small, crisp diagonal tail on Q reinforce a traditional, book-face construction. Numerals follow the same restrained, oldstyle-friendly rhythm, with clear shapes and moderate detailing at terminals.

Well suited to body copy in books and editorial layouts where a consistent, comfortable reading texture is important. It can also support headings, pull quotes, and formal print materials (reports, programs, invitations) where a traditional serif voice is desired.

The overall tone is literary and composed, suggesting editorial polish rather than display eccentricity. It feels familiar and trustworthy, with an understated elegance that suits long-form reading and formal communication.

The design appears intended as a conventional, highly readable serif for continuous text, emphasizing balanced proportions, familiar letterforms, and a calm typographic color. Its controlled contrast and bracketed serifs aim to deliver clarity and an established, classical tone in practical publishing contexts.

Spacing and rhythm in the sample text read evenly, with good separation between characters and clear word shapes. The design avoids extreme quirks: terminals are clean, joins are controlled, and the contrast remains measured, producing a steady texture across lines.
