A refined serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and crisp, tapered terminals. Serifs are bracketed yet sharp, giving a slightly calligraphic edge while maintaining a controlled, bookish rhythm. Capitals are stately with generous proportions and clean joins; curves (C, G, O, Q) are smooth and open, and the Q features a distinctive, curled tail. Lowercase shows a traditional construction with a two-storey a, a compact, balanced e, and a long, gently curved f; ascenders feel tall and the overall spacing reads even in text. Figures are proportioned for text with clear stroke contrast and strong vertical emphasis.

Well-suited to editorial typography such as magazines, book interiors, and literary publishing where a classic serif voice is desired. It also fits branding and packaging that benefit from a premium, traditional tone, and it can serve as a display serif for headlines and pull quotes when set with comfortable leading.

The tone is polished and cultivated, leaning toward high-end editorial and heritage branding. Its sharp details and elegant contrast suggest formality and confidence rather than warmth, producing a composed, premium feel on the page.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, readable serif with elevated contrast and finely drawn details, balancing classical proportions with slightly sharpened terminals for a more contemporary editorial finish.

In the sample paragraph, the face holds up well at larger text sizes where the thin strokes and fine serifs read as intentional detail. The design leans on pointed terminals and tapered diagonals (notably in V/W/Y) to create a lively, sophisticated sparkle without becoming overly decorative.
