A calligraphic serif italic with softly bracketed serifs, gently tapered strokes, and a noticeable oblique stress. Letterforms lean consistently with flowing entry/exit strokes, producing a smooth rhythm across words. Counters are relatively open, while terminals often finish in small hooks or teardrop-like shapes. The lowercase sits with a modest x-height and lively ascenders/descenders, and the overall texture reads even but organic rather than mechanically uniform; figures follow an oldstyle pattern with varying heights and extenders that reinforce the italic, bookish color.

Well-suited to long-form reading contexts such as books, magazines, and other editorial layouts where an italic voice is needed for emphasis, commentary, or quoted material. It also works for tasteful display lines—titles, pull quotes, and formal announcements—when a classic, humanist italic mood is desired.

The font conveys a traditional, literary tone—refined but approachable—suggesting ink-on-paper warmth and editorial polish. Its motion and soft shaping feel human and expressive without becoming ornamental or script-like, giving text a cultured, slightly romantic character.

The design appears intended to provide a traditional italic companion with old-style warmth: enough calligraphic movement to feel crafted, but disciplined proportions and serifs to maintain a consistent text color. It prioritizes fluent reading rhythm and a cultured tone over sharp modern geometry.

In continuous text the italic angle and long, gently curved strokes create a strong forward momentum, while the moderate contrast and sturdy serifs keep the forms stable and readable. Capitals are understated and slightly calligraphic, pairing naturally with the energetic lowercase for mixed-case settings.
